I’d like to get women around South Africa to donate R100 each in order to support the Women’s Legal Centre.
The Women’s Legal Centre is an incredible feminist organisation. You can find out more about them here.
Legal advice in South Africa is generally really expensive. Yet, the Women’s Legal Centre provides their services to women from their offices in Cape Town, and a satellite office in Khayelitsha for free.
Their legal advice office sees hundreds of women each year, and without it those women wouldn’t have been able to access the information they needed to claim their rights.
By donating to keep the project going, you’re making sure those women don’t lose hope, and are able to access the rights to keep them safe, sane and free.
You can donate easily from R1 to R3000 via this link. I hope you do! ow.ly/dBxcX
Welcome to my website. At the moment I’ll be using this site as a sort of virtual CV to advertise the work that I offer. As it grows it could become a very different beast altogether. Who knows!
If you’d like to find out more about me, check out the ‘About Jen‘ section above.
If you’re interested in finding some of my writing online, have a look at ‘Blogging and web writing‘.
The two websites that I run, FeministsSA.com and MyFirstTimeSA.com are also described if you click on their headings. If you’d like to visit the sites, click on the buttons on the right.
I’m a writer, editor, researcher and have a good understanding of social media, so if you’re looking for someone to do those things for you or your organisation, click ‘What I could do for your organisation‘
I also write for magazines and newspapers. If you’d like to find out more about that, or get me to write for yours, click ‘Writing for print‘
I hope that we can find a way to work together.
